In the Halpern Loft, a large piece of furniture is built around and over the dining table to provide an additional sleeping area above.

Made from aluminum L-angles and acrylic, it aims to minimize its presence while defining the dining room distinctly. A stair with acrylic treads climbs up to the new sleeping platform with its clear railing.

The structure adds additional floor area and a new ‘room’ within the height of the existing loft in a floating mezzanine.
